Architecture Class

On Fridays I do something fun. My mom and I go to an architecture class. We take the train there, and it does not take a long time. My class building is near Washington Square. I build temples out of paper and I learn about Greek and Roman architecture. I have two or three friends there, and the teacher is very nice. Sometimes after the class we go out to lunch with friends. I really enjoy this class, maybe i will be an architect.

A great accomplishment!

I haven't written for a while because I have been too busy having fun. But I have to tell you what I learned yesterday. I learned how to ride a bicycle! I never used training wheels. I just got on the two wheeler and rode. My brother Joseph helped me by holding the back of the bike. He only held for one minute because he is kind of tough. When I got tired, he told me to keep trying. By the time my mother came out, I was riding. I almost hit a few parked cars and crashed into a fence. I only fell once. I made sure I had my helmet on. Today after track and tennis my mommy took me to forest park to ride my bicycle. I love riding my bike and want to go again.

Great Adventure was a great adventure!

Yesterday, I went to Great Adventure. We went on a Safari. My favorite animal was an elk because it kept licking the window of the car. The ostrich was pecking at the window because it wanted potato chips. My favorite ride was the runaway train. It a roller coaster. I liked it because it was kind of scary.

Runaway Mine Train (Six Flags Great Adventure)

I went on it six times. I liked the tiger show. White tigers were chasing the balloons that the trainer was holding. The tigers were really big and fierce looking. I can't wait to go back again. Maybe this time Jessica, Joseph, and Maryann can come. I hope you all can come, too.

Owl Pellets

Yesterday, I dissected an owl pellet with tweezers. It looked like a big, furry meatball and had bones in it. I found two skulls -- one was a bird and one was a rodent. We found vertebra, tiny ribs, jaw bones and a whole bunch of other bones. It was fun and cool.

An owl pellet is what an owl spits up. It is all the stuff that they can't digest.

My mom bleached the bones and then dropped it all over. We wanted to put it together like a puzzle, but I think she lost some.

Coming to an End

Even though it is only May, we are almost done with school for this year. We use Sonlight for a lot of stuff. We use other things too including Bob Jones. I like to read chapter books. My favorite was Jake Drake Bully Buster. It was about a bully that was bullying Jake. Jake learned to be nice to the bully. I like math so much I already started third grade. I can't wait to learn more this summer and have fun in the park

President's Challenge

Today I did President's Challenge. First, my mom led us in stretches. Then, we did situps--I did 35 and then I did 36 later. Next, I did push ups. I did 14. Then I did the V stretch -- I got the seven mark. The hardest part was the race. I ran around the track and was the fastest. The moms said I did good. Last was the shuttle run. I did it in 11.1 seconds. Sorry, I don't have any pictures.
